WHAT IS SAGRANTINO?

Sagrantino comes from Italy's Umbria region, Nello's ancestral home, and is one of the rarest grapes grown in the U.S. It thrives at Rancho Olivo Vineyards in Cameron Park where it produces deeply rich, bold wine. (below: Nello Olivo, Sagrantino harvest.)

Sagrantino has a higher content of antioxidants than any other red wine. Its tannin structure is similar to that of pure cocoa.
